SEBO On-Board Stretch Hose for X Series, G Series, 370 Series and 300/350 Mechanical — Silver

Everything you clean above floor level with a SEBO upright — stairs, upholstery, ceiling corners, the car — travels through the on-board hose. Part 5040SB is the silver stretch hose that clips to the machine, pulls out to reach where the head cannot go, and relaxes back against the body for storage. SEBO also references it as 52-1107-98, and it is one of the widest-fitting parts in the upright range: the same hose serves the AUTOMATIC, ESSENTIAL, 370 and Mechanical families.

Hoses fail from the inside out, which is what makes them awkward to diagnose. A kink that never quite recovers its shape, a split at the cuff where the hose meets the machine, or a pinhole worn into the crown of a bellow will all bleed suction away before it reaches the tool in your hand. The machine sounds healthy, the bag is clean, the filters are new, and the crevice nozzle still barely lifts a thread. Stretch hoses take their damage at the ends and at the point where the hose is repeatedly flexed over the body, so run the whole length through your fingers with the machine running and listen for the note changing as you squeeze. If it does, the hose is the fault and no amount of filter maintenance will bring the suction back.

SEBO draws the hose at position 13 on the 300 350 Mechanical parts sheet and at position 12 on the AUTOMATIC X7 X8 sheet.
