Part B012-0214 is the left-hand rubber end cap for the brush roll used in Fuller Brush and Carpet Pro commercial uprights. It caps the non-driven end of the roller and keeps it running true in its bearing.
End caps take a beating from the hair and string that works its way into the gap between the roller and the housing. Once the rubber tears or wears away, the roller has room to move sideways: it knocks, it drops out of contact with the carpet at one edge, and the belt begins running at an angle, which shortens its life considerably.
