SEBO Carbon Brush Set for A...

Product details

Carbon brushes are the wearing part of a vacuum motor. They ride against the spinning commutator to pass current into the armature, and as the carbon shortens the contact pressure drops away until the motor arcs, loses power and finally stops turning. Part 05117S is SEBO's replacement set, and one set serves three different suction motors: the 5468, the 1843/2 in its post-2001 form, and the 50465ER.

That breadth is why a single order line covers most of the upright range. Fits the AUTOMATIC X4, AUTOMATIC X4 Boost, AUTOMATIC X5, AUTOMATIC X7 Premium, AUTOMATIC X7 Pet and AUTOMATIC X8; the ESSENTIAL G1, G2, G4 and G5; the 370 COMFORT and ELECTRONIC 370; and the 300 MECHANICAL and 350 MECHANICAL. SEBO draws the carbon brush set at position 123 on the ESSENTIAL G4 / G5 parts diagram. Motors built before 2001 are the exception, and those take 0511/1 instead, so read the label on the motor rather than working backwards from the model name or the year the machine was bought.

  • Part number: SEBO 05117S, carbon brush set
  • Motors: 5468, post-2001 1843/2 and 50465ER suction motors
  • AUTOMATIC uprights: X4, X4 Boost, X5, X7 Premium, X7 Pet and X8
  • ESSENTIAL uprights: G1, G2, G4 and G5
  • Also fits: 370 COMFORT, ELECTRONIC 370, 300 MECHANICAL and 350 MECHANICAL
  • Diagram position: 123 on the ESSENTIAL G4 / G5 sheet
  • Replace when: suction fades gradually, the motor note climbs, or arcing shows at the exhaust vents in a dim room

Fitting a genuine SEBO set in good time matters, because a motor run down to bare brush springs scores the commutator underneath and turns a routine service into a motor replacement. Ships in 2–5 business days.
