Fitting a CanSweep automatic dustpan means cutting a larger opening in the wall or toe-kick than the valve itself needs, because you have to reach the pipe connection behind it. The trim plate is what covers that opening afterwards, and part 845621BLK is the black one.
It is a finishing part, so it gets replaced when it looks wrong rather than when it stops working: cracked from a knock at floor level, scuffed pale where a mop or a vacuum head has been dragged across it for years, or missing altogether after cabinetry work. Black suits dark toe-kicks and dark baseboards, and the same plate is listed in almond and white if your installation calls for one of those instead. Ordering the plate on its own leaves the CanSweep unit behind it exactly where it is.
