Part AMC415-4221 is the terminal hose for the Panasonic MC-7220, the short flexible section at the handle end that carries airflow and, on a powered system, the electrical connection through to the wand.
This is the part of a canister that gets flexed thousands of times a season, always at the same two points. It fails from the inside: a split in the corrugation that leaks air without showing much on the outside, or a fitting that has loosened until it rocks in your hand. The symptom is suction that seems fine at the machine but weak at the floor tool, and on power nozzle systems, a nozzle that cuts in and out as you steer.
Seat both ends fully so the couplings lock rather than just resting. Confirm the MC-7220 on the data plate before ordering.
