Part AC53KYU1V06 is the support slider for the Panasonic MC-9901. It is the low-friction pad the head rides on, carrying part of the machine's weight and letting it glide rather than scrape.
Sliders wear thin from underneath, so the first sign is a change in feel rather than anything you can see: the machine gets heavier to push, drags to one side, or starts making a scratchy noise on hard floors. When a slider wears right through or breaks off, the plastic housing behind it meets the floor directly — and on wood or vinyl that leaves marks quickly.
If your machine carries sliders in pairs, look at both. They wear at similar rates, and replacing one leaves the head sitting unevenly on a floor that should be flat.
