Widetrack VG II brush roll with hex ends, part 53271, for the Eureka and Sanitaire wide-format commercial uprights. Widetrack machines cover more floor per pass and use a longer roller than the standard 12-inch VG II — the two are not interchangeable, so check the width before ordering.
Worn bristles are the reason to change one. Look at the roller under a light: if the tufts are shorter in the middle than at the ends, or splayed and soft, the roller has stopped agitating the pile and the machine is relying on suction alone.
It fits the Eureka and Sanitaire C4046F, C4046F1 and C4047A, and the HE4046A. Clear wound hair and thread from the new roller every few weeks to protect the end bearings.
