The main control board, part 834797, is the electronic heart of the ProTeam ProGen 12 and ProGen 15 uprights. Every input the machine takes passes through this board before it reaches the motor.
What makes a board failure frustrating is that the motor is usually fine. The machine is dead, or it runs for ten minutes and stops, or it will not respond to its controls at all, and everything you can easily test checks out. When the cord, the switch and the outlet are all sound and the fault is still intermittent, the board is where it lives.
Disconnect the machine from power before opening it. Boards are sensitive to static, so handle it by the edges, and if you are not set up for electronic work, have a service technician fit it.
