Beam's Imperial power nozzle drives its brush roll with a cogged belt rather than a smooth one, and part 155686 is that belt, sold singly. It fits the Imperial 1500 and Imperial 1550 with their original powerheads, the ones that have not been upgraded and still run the factory motor and roller, plus the Smart SA7001 and SB2001.
A cogged belt does not slip, so it does not warn you the way a friction belt does. It either drives the roll or it snaps, and the first you know is a nozzle hissing across the carpet without picking anything up. Cracking between the teeth is the sign to change it before that happens.
Fitting takes no special tools. Check the drive gear and the roll's gear teeth while the belt is off.
