Part 097561101 is the complete cord, switch and handle assembly for Oreck 9000 series commercial uprights, supplied with the two-speed switch already fitted. It is wired for 110 volt USA supply and is listed for the XL9300G.
Buying the assembly complete is what makes this a do-it-yourself job. A frayed cord, a switch that has to be wiggled, or a cracked handle would each mean separate work; here the wiring and the switch arrive in the handle together, so the repair is largely mechanical.
One thing to plan for: fitting this assembly means re-running the cord from the motor up to the handle. Older Oreck cords leave the handle horizontally while the newer style exits vertically, pointing at the floor, so the routing may not match what came off. Unplug the machine before starting any of it.
