Part 79086-01 is the circuit board with the LED light for the Oreck U7000 Pilot upright. It drives the headlight and the machine's electronic functions, so a failure here shows up either as a dead light or as controls that no longer respond.
Boards die from vibration and heat as much as from age. A cracked solder joint gives you a headlight that flickers as the machine moves; a failed board gives you nothing at all. Before condemning it, check that the machine has power and that the wiring into the board is properly seated, since connectors work loose on a vacuum that gets carried by the handle.
It fits the U7010ECS, U7020ECBS, U7060ECS, U7070ECS, U7220ECS, U7230ECS, U7250ECS and U7330ECBS. Unplug the vacuum before opening the housing and handle the board by its edges.
