This is the replacement motor for the ProTeam GoFit 6 HEPA backpack vacuum, model 8514, ordered as part 847770. It is the single component that generates all the suction the machine has, and replacing it is what keeps a backpack in service rather than sending it for scrap.
Motors give you time to plan. Suction drops off even after a bag change and a filter change. The note the machine makes changes, either a whine that was not there before or a grinding that comes and goes with load. Then come the less subtle signs: a smell of hot insulation, heat you can feel through the housing, sparking visible through the vents, or a machine that will not start at all.
Take the symptoms together rather than acting on one. A blocked filter can mimic weak suction, and it is a far cheaper thing to rule out first.
