SEBO Motor Cover for 300 and 350 Mechanical Uprights

Two jobs fall to the motor cover on a SEBO 300 Mechanical or 350 Mechanical: keeping dust and knocks away from the motor, and guiding the air that carries heat away from it. Part 50441UL replaces that cover on both machines, and it is one of the few pieces of plastic in the vacuum whose shape matters as much as its strength.

Heat cycling is what finishes these covers. The plastic sits close to a motor that runs warm, goes brittle over the years, and then a dropped machine or a hard knock splits it along a mount. From that point the motor is partly exposed to the dust the vacuum is picking up, and — less obviously — the cooling path around it is no longer the one the engineers shaped. A motor drawing its cooling air through a broken enclosure runs hotter than it should, and heat is what shortens motor life. Refitting an intact cover closes the enclosure and puts the airflow route back where it belongs.

Replace the cover when the shell is cracked, a mount has broken away, or it simply will not seat flush against the body.
