Small hardware, but the foot switch will not stay put without it. Part 111180A is the genuine Kirby nut and clip that fastens the foot switch assembly, supplied two per pack, and it is listed for the Classic Omega 1CB and 2CB and for the Kirby Tradition.
These pieces work loose over years of foot pressure, or the clip loses its spring and the nut backs off. The switch then shifts under your foot, rattles as the machine is pushed, and eventually stops making solid contact with the pedal above it.
Fitting fresh hardware puts the switch back on a firm mount with no modification to the machine; you are simply replacing what was there. Unplug the vacuum before reassembling anything around the switch, and confirm your Kirby model against the list.
