The extension wand holder, part KC55PDKNZV06, is the clip on the body of a Kenmore canister that the wand stows in between uses. It fits the Kenmore 125.81615910, 21814, 81614, 81714, BC4026 and BC4027.
Wand holders break under the load they carry. A telescopic wand is heavy, and it swings on the clip every time the canister is hauled up a step or tipped onto its back. The tab wears until it no longer grips, and then the wand drops out during transport — usually onto a hard floor, which is how the wand itself ends up dented or the swivel end cracked.
Fitting a new holder takes a minute and heads off a more expensive problem. Ease the wand in and out rather than forcing it, and confirm your canister model before ordering.
