Hoover Secondary Filter - UH30310 Upright UH30300, UH30600

Part 902417001 is the secondary filter for Hoover WindTunnel bagged uprights - the UH30300, UH30302, UH30308 and UH30310, the UH30600 series including the UH30601 and UH30651, the UH30650 variants, the CH54100 and the Royal UR30090.

It sits behind the bag, guarding the motor from anything the paper lets through. As it loads, airflow drops across the whole machine: the bag seems to fill faster, the brush roll bogs down on deep carpet, and the motor note climbs. It is a five-minute change that people put off for years without realising what it is costing them.

This filter is now supplied as a cut-to-fit pad, so keep the old one and use it as a template. Cut on the generous side rather than short, so no gap is left at the edge of the housing.
