Part 303903001 is the primary filter for the Hoover WindTunnel Air upright, the element that sits in the cyclonic assembly and takes the dust the cyclone does not separate out.
Because it is first in the filtration path, it loads faster than anything else in the machine. The tell is gradual rather than sudden: suction that starts strong and fades inside a single room, a motor that rises in pitch as it works against the restriction, and a musty smell from the exhaust meaning dust has been sitting in the media for months.
It fits the UH70400, UH70401, UH70402, UH70403PC, UH70404 and UH70405 WindTunnel Air uprights, the UH70900, UH70901, UH70905, UH70909, UH70930, UH70935 and UH70939 WindTunnel 3 Pro machines, and the UH72400, UH72401 and UH72409 Air Steerable models. Three to six months is a sensible replacement interval.
