Replacement hose for the Hoover SmartWash carpet cleaner, part 440012815. It fits the FH52000, FH52001 and FH52013, and the FH53000 with its FH53000CPC, FH53000PC, FH53000PDI and FH53000TV1 variants.
This is the hose you pull off the machine for stairs and upholstery, which is precisely why it fails. It gets flexed hard at both cuffs, stood on, and pinched under a machine that was set down without much thought. Cracks start at the flex points nearest the ends, and they are often too small to see until you look at the hose with the machine running.
Suction at the tool is the test. If the floor nozzle still pulls hard but the hand tool will barely hold a cloth against it, the hose is leaking. A new one restores the sealed path end to end.
