The heater is what turns water into steam inside a Bissell Symphony, and part 1603366 is the new-style unit. If a mop has stopped steaming, this is the part at the end of the diagnosis.
Heaters fail either outright or gradually. Outright is obvious: water goes in, nothing comes out, and the machine simply blows cold. Gradual looks like a mop that takes far longer to come up to temperature, or one that gives a puff of steam and then thin, wet output that leaves the floor soaked rather than cleaned.
It fits the Symphony 11321, 11326, 11328, 1132A, 1132M, 1132Q, 1132R and 1132X, the 1530 and 1652, and the Symphony Pet 1543A, 1543R, 1543T and 15438. Descale the water path when you fit it, since the mineral buildup that strangled the old heater is otherwise still sitting in the machine.
