The FB-SM Speedy Maid is a two-speed upright, and this replacement power cord is the one wired into that model. The same cord also serves the Riccar RSL4 Supralite, which uses the same internal connections. Our part number is D434-3643.
Cords fail from the strain of being wrapped, tugged around furniture legs and pinched under the machine. What you notice first is the vacuum cutting out when the cord is flexed near the base, or a section of outer jacket split open with the conductors showing. Neither gets better with tape.
Fitting a new cord is a terminal-level job: the old one disconnects inside the housing and the new one lands on the same connections. If you are not comfortable opening the machine up, have a service tech do it.
