Carpet Pro Circuit Breaker - Riccar R10E

Part A028-0114B is the 5 amp resettable circuit breaker used across these uprights — the Carpet Pro CP-ULW and ZM-400, the Riccar R10E, the Simplicity R10E, the Maytag M500 and the Fuller Brush FB-SM. It sits between the cord and the motor and trips when current climbs past its rating.

The pattern that points here is a machine that runs, shuts itself off part way through a room, then works again once it has sat for twenty minutes or so. A breaker that has weakened trips earlier each time until it will barely finish a rug.

Before fitting a new one, rule out what a healthy breaker is protecting you from. A jammed brush roll, a blocked airway or a failing motor will trip a good breaker too, and swapping the part without finding the cause only removes the warning.
