Elbow - TurboCat Zoom EX Air-Driven Power Nozzle

Part 8423-01 is the elbow that joins the wand to a TurboCat Zoom EX air-driven power nozzle. On a turbine head this is not a passive connector: all the air that spins the brush roll passes through it, so the elbow's condition has a direct effect on how hard the nozzle works.

Elbows crack at the swivel and at the wand cuff, usually from the leverage of a machine being pulled around a corner by the hose. Once air can enter through the crack, the turbine is drawing part of its supply from the room instead of the carpet, and the brush roll slows down. The nozzle looks fine and sounds close to normal, but it stops lifting anything. If the head has become sluggish and the brush still turns freely by hand, check the elbow for splits before suspecting the turbine.
