This is the black rug tool for the Sanitaire and Eureka Mighty Mite, part A03039001 — the combination floor tool with the plastic sole and wheels. It fits the Eureka and Sanitaire 3631A.
The wheels are what make it worth replacing rather than tolerating. When they seize or break away the sole drags instead of rolling, so the tool grabs on carpet, pushes hard on bare floor, and its trailing edge scores whatever it is running over. The moulded sole wears thin at the lip as well and stops sealing to the floor, which is felt as weak pickup at the tool even when the hose is clear.
It pushes straight onto the wand. A worn floor tool is regularly mistaken for a suction problem further up the machine, and this is the cheapest place to rule that out.
