Part A05944001 is the commercial extension cord for the Sanitaire and Eureka SC5500A. It is a 40 foot 16/3 cord in red, and the length is the point: a commercial upright is meant to cover a corridor or a ballroom without hunting for the next outlet.
Cords on commercial machines take abuse domestic ones never see — run over by the nozzle, yanked from the plug rather than the head, dragged across door thresholds. Nicked insulation, a cut that exposes the conductors, or a plug that has gone loose or discoloured all mean the cord goes, not gets taped. On a job site a taped cord fails inspection anyway.
Unplug the machine and note how the strain relief is clamped before releasing the old cord, so the new one is anchored the same way.
