This is the clear 31-inch bumper strip that runs around the nozzle of Sanitaire 886 and 888 series uprights, sold as part 285041. It is the sacrificial trim that meets baseboards, table legs and door frames before the housing does.
Bumpers go brittle with age, split at the ends, or work loose and fall away entirely. Once one is gone, the nozzle shell starts collecting the scuffs and cracks instead, and that is a far more expensive part to replace. A fresh strip is cheap protection for a housing that is not.
It fits a wide span of Eureka and Sanitaire commercial uprights including the SC886F, SC886G, SC887D, SC887E, SC888G, SC888M, SC889A, the C2094 family, the C2132 family, the C2095A, C2133A, S645A and the 1950A. Measure your nozzle before ordering; this is the 31-inch length.
