SEBO Power Head Status Display for AUTOMATIC X4 Boost — Silver

A clouded lens in the nozzle of a graphite AUTOMATIC X4 Boost does not mean buying a nozzle. SEBO lists the silver status display on its own as 5799SB, seated in the upper face of the nozzle where it stays readable while the machine is being pushed along.

That siting is deliberate and it comes at a cost. Doorframes and chair legs pass at exactly this height, and the panel sits close to the dust the brush roller is lifting. Abrasion frosts the lens until the indication behind it is unreadable, and a knock hard enough to split the moulding lets fine dust into the recess it is sitting in. Removal calls for patience rather than force. The panel is a lens in a moulded aperture and not a structural member, so take the surrounding trim off and lift it out, with the machine unplugged throughout.

That last line doubles as an identification check. Where the power head cover reads 50799GS, the display sitting in it is 5799SB and not the gray black panel. Anyone searching for a SEBO X4 Boost display should confirm the finish first, since the two versions differ only in colour and the wrong one will look obviously out of place on the head. Fitting takes minutes with the cord out of the socket, and it is worth blowing the aperture clear of grit before the new panel goes down, since a single trapped particle will hold it proud of the surrounding trim.
