The motor for Cen-Tec CT20DX power nozzles in the grooved-style housing, part 41021, fitting the CT20DXQD and CT20DXQS. Check which housing you have before ordering, because Cen-Tec used more than one motor body across the DX range and the grooved and smooth versions are not interchangeable.
In a central vacuum system the power nozzle motor does exactly one job: it turns the brush roll. Suction comes from the unit out in the garage. That is why a failing nozzle motor gives you a machine with full airflow and no agitation at all, so the nozzle sounds fine on the hose while leaving the pile flat and the dirt still in it.
Before fitting a new motor, cut the hair off the brush roll ends and spin it by hand. A binding roller drags a motor down and will take the replacement with it.
