Air from the wand connection on a Fuller Brush FB-EZM upright reaches the bag through a short rigid duct behind the inlet port, and part B283-0500 is that duct. It fits the Carpet Pro CPU250 and CPU350, the Simplicity and Riccar S20EZM and the Titan T3200.
Being a moulded duct on a machine that gets knocked over, it cracks. A split in the tube, or a joint that has worked loose at either end, bleeds air into the system before it ever reaches the bag. Suction through the hose and tools falls away, sometimes with an audible hiss inside the body, while the floor nozzle carries on as normal — which is what makes the fault hard to place.
Replacing the tube closes that leak and restores full airflow to the attachments.
