Part B626-1414B is the tool clip used on the Riccar RSL1 upright and on a range of Carpet Pro, Maytag and Titan machines: the Carpet Pro CMP3QD, CMP3T, CPU3N and CPU4T, the Maytag M700, and the Titan T4000.2 and TC6000.2. It is the sprung plastic clip that grips an attachment against the body of the vacuum.
The clip loses its hold in one of two ways. Either the arms spread until they no longer grip, or one of them snaps off. Either way the tool rides loose and drops off somewhere between the third floor and the van.
It is a small part with an outsized effect on how a machine gets used, because attachments that stay on the vacuum get used and attachments that live in a cupboard do not.
