This is the on-board attachment hose for the Carpet Pro CPU-250 and CPU-350 uprights, part C283-2800. It measures 38 inches long and 2 inches across, and the same hose fits the Titan T3200, the Fuller Brush FBEZM, the CleanMax CMNR-QD and the Riccar and Simplicity S20EZM.
Above-floor cleaning depends entirely on this hose being airtight. Once it kinks permanently, splits at a cuff, or opens a crack you cannot see, suction at the tool end falls away and stairs, upholstery and high corners become jobs the machine can no longer do, even though it still cleans carpet perfectly well.
Because it is a fixed length with fittings at both ends, replacing it rather than taping it is the only fix that gives back full airflow at the tool.
