A 4mm E-clip, part A732-0200, is the retainer that keeps a shaft — most often a wheel or roller axle — from walking out of its seat on the Carpet Pro CPU2T commercial upright. It springs into a machined groove and takes the side load that would otherwise let the shaft drift.
They are lost far more often than they wear out. One flies off during a repair, or corrosion lets it relax, and whatever it was holding gradually works free until something binds or drops off entirely. Keeping a couple spare is sensible on any machine you service yourself.
The clip covers the Carpet Pro CMP3QD, CPU1QD, CPU2T, CPU3N, CPU3QD, CPU4N and CPU4T, the Clean Max CMPSQD, the Fuller Brush FBMMPWCF4, FBPHD2T and FBP-14PWBP, the Maytag M700, and the Titan T4000.2 and TC6000.2. Check the groove size before ordering — a 4mm clip will not hold a larger shaft.
