On the wearer's side of a Carpet Pro SCBP1 backpack is the back plate, part B352-0443 — the surface the harness mounts to, and the one that carries the load against your back all shift. It fits the SCBP1 and SCBP1.2, the Eureka and Sanitaire SC412B, the Tornado 6-quart backpack, the Powr-Flite PF300BP and the CFR30BP.
Backpacks lead a hard life: set down on concrete, worn through doorways, loaded in and out of vans. The plate cracks around the harness anchor points first, and once it does the pack sits crooked, the straps pull unevenly, and the crack spreads under the weight of the motor.
Replacing the plate before it gives out keeps the harness anchored and the pack carrying properly, which matters most to whoever is wearing it.
