The airpath assembly is the molded duct that carries dirty air from the nozzle up to the bag. This is the black assembly for the Titan T3200 upright, part C283-2700, and it also fits the Carpet Pro CPU250 and CPU350, the Fuller Brush FBEZM and the Riccar and Simplicity S20EZM.
Airpaths crack where they flex at the base of the machine, and a hairline crack is enough to change how the vacuum cleans. Air takes the easy route in through the split rather than the hard route up through the carpet, so suction at the nozzle drops while the motor sounds exactly as it always did. Fine dust escaping from the joint is the other tell.
A sound duct restores the sealed path from nozzle to bag, and the suction comes back with it.
