Beam Central Vacuum Carbon Motor Brush - Lamb Motor 119631

Beam central vacuum power units are built around Ametek Lamb motors, and part 33423-22 is the carbon brush those motors use. It is sold individually and fits the Beam motor 140414 along with Lamb motors 116931, 119631-00, 119633 and 119633-07, 119800 and 119955.

Because the power unit lives out in a garage or basement, brush wear on a central vacuum is easy to miss. What you notice upstairs is suction that has quietly dropped off at every inlet - not one hose or one wall valve, but all of them at once. Down at the unit the motor usually sounds different too, rougher or with an intermittent whine.

Change both brushes together so the commutator wears evenly, and read the motor number off the label on the power unit before ordering rather than going by the Beam model printed on the cover.
