Part AC90GJMZ00 is the brush holder unit for the Panasonic MC-V6307 upright, the moulded carrier inside the nozzle that the brush roll and its bearings sit in. It sets the height and the angle of the roller, which is what decides how deeply the bristles reach into carpet pile.
Holders crack at the mounting points after years of the nozzle being dropped onto floors and knocked into baseboards. Once that happens the roller drops or tilts: one side of the carpet comes up clean, the other side does not, and the bristles lose the bite they had when the machine was new. Some owners notice the sound change first, a knock in time with the roller.
