Part R14857C is the 8-foot black electric hose for the Rainbow E2 Type 12, with the gas-pump grip handle. The trigger in the grip switches the power nozzle on and off, and a lock-out holds it on so you are not squeezing through a long job. The handle carries the short steel tube and a male receptacle.
It is specific to the Black Series E2 Type 12 running the PN-12 power nozzle, where the wiring runs inside the wands. It will not fit the older E2 machines that have cords running along the outside of the wands, which is by far the most common ordering mistake on this part.
Hoses come up for replacement when the nozzle flickers as the hose is moved, when the trigger stops responding, or when the outer wall splits at the cuff. This one can be used for wet pickup as well.
