This is the brush roll from Bissell's CleanView XR stick vacuums, part 1638004. It fits the XR 200W models 3789, 3789U and 3789X and the XR Pet 300W models 3797, 3797V and 3797W, and our fitment data also lists the 3801.
It is a hybrid roller: nylon bristles combined with rubber blade sections on an ABS core, so it agitates carpet and rugs while still sweeping hardwood, tile and laminate without scratching them. It measures roughly 8.85 inches long, with end caps about 1.38 inches in diameter, and bristle colour varies between production runs.
Replace it when hair has permanently deformed the bristles, when the rubber blades have torn, or when a hard floor pass starts leaving behind fine dust the machine used to lift in one go.
