This is the solution control valve, the solenoid that opens and closes the flow of cleaning solution when you squeeze the trigger on a Bissell deep cleaner. Part 1600117 covers a wide span of the DeepClean and steam vacuum range.
A failed valve behaves one of two ways. Either nothing comes out when you pull the trigger while the pump runs, or solution keeps trickling out after you let go and one patch of carpet ends up soaked. Both point at the same part.
Bissell used it on the 94Y2 and 35K3 steam vacuums, the DeepClean Premier Pet 17N4 family, the 36Z9, the 47A2 family, the 24A4, 30K7, 66E1, 80R4 and 80X9, the 1560 series and the BGSS1481. Check the spade terminals when you fit the new one, since a corroded connector gives exactly the same symptom.
