Flat drive belt for the Vapamore MR-500 Vento canister, part number 500DRIVEBELT. It drives the brush roll in the power nozzle.
Flat belts stretch before they break, and the stretching is the failure you actually live with. The roll turns slower than it should, slips under load in deep carpet, and stops pulling dirt out of the pile even though the machine still sounds strong. A smell of hot rubber, or a roll that stalls when you lean into it, means the belt is well past stretched.
Belts are consumable and inexpensive, so replacing on a schedule beats waiting for the snap. You will have the brush roll out anyway when you fit one, so clear the wrapped hair off the shaft while you are in there.
